The Japanese Consortium

The Japanese Consortium lead by prof. Jun-ichi Shimoyama has received funding from the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) in the frame of the S&T Cooperation Agreement signed between JST and EC DG RTD for supporting Japanese- EU coordinated research in the field of  “Superconductivity”.

The members of the Japanese Consortium are:

  • University of Tokio (TU)
  • Kyushu University (KU)
  • National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)
  • National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS)

Super IronBased on the Exchange of Letters, JST and EC DG RTD have agreed to establish a new scheme for coordinated funding of Japanese-EU coordinated research projects (see European Community press release IP/09/1844). After consultations between JST and EC DG RTD, “Superconductivity” has been selected as the field of research for the coordinated funding scheme.
